Ur required to file a federal gift tax return (Form 709) if you give gift(s) to one individual that add up to $12,000+. Still, U owe NO federal gift tax UNLESS ALL TAXABLE gifts exceed $1M. To stay in IRS guidelines, file even when no tax is due. The deadline is the same as for your 1040.
This is directed to ANYONE who continues to say it is illegal!!
Hope this info has helped you all out there

FYI...U only need to file a gift tax form when you exceed the annual $12,000 TAX-FREE gift limit. U ONLY send Form 709 when you make a transaction with A FAMILY MEMBER OVER $12,000-even if it wasn't a gift. Thats the only way you run into trouble with the IRS. Each yr., you can gift money OR other worth up to $12,000 to a single gift recipient. If you're married, you and your spouse can jointly give up to $24,000 per gift recipient. It is all TAX FREE!!

If u believe gifting is a pyramid, why watch the gifting vids just to leave ur negative comment. It's her choice to do it. IT'S NOT ILLEGAL! It's called GIFTING not "INCOME". It's NOT A JOB or A BUSINESS. It is based on people helping people. Ex: I GIVE money to a child in Ecuador. I do it to help her get ahead. The organization advertises to get people to help change the financial life of another person. SAME DIFFERENCE. Two thumbs up Big Cash Queen!

Even if someone actually sends you money, do you realize that the reason that "cash-gifting" is illegal because you are not actually "selling" something?? People are sending you money, but they are not "buying" something. It is a pyramid scheme, plan and simple. Also, are you intending to pay taxes on the money that you receive? If you receive money on a regular basis, it is considered "income", and is taxable.
