I say that because I want to share a quick story with you. About a month ago, I had a call from a man named Paul who told me he was interested in working my business with me. We had scheduled calls but they never seemed to work out with my schedule or his schedule, which was fine, we said we would play everything by ear. On Thursday I got home and had 2 new voicemails, when I listened to them, they were very interesting. The voicemails were from a gentleman named John and there wasn't really a point to the voicemails, it was just him and Paul (the man who had called me originally) and they were talking about a bunch of nonsense. Now, I was extremely confused so I called the number back and guess who answered? John answered! I had no idea who he was, but the first ten minutes of the conversation all he did was flirt with me, and all I could think was "wow, this man is SO unprofessional" Later I found out that John owns his own leads company called My Forbidden Leads. Throughout the conversation he told me that I was going to fall flat on my face and that I would not succeed unless I purchase his products and bought leads from his company. That didn't really set well with me. Then he asked me how I got my leads for my business. I told him that I used social networking sites like Myspace and Youtube. He told me that those sites didn't really work.....that didn't make a lot of sense to me! So I asked him why he thought they weren't good leads because the only reason he got my contact information was from my videos that he found on Youtube! :) Then I proceeded to tell him that those sites do work because my marketing team and I were able to reach over 170,000 people in 30 days and we didn't spend one dime on advertising. I wanted to tell you that story because I just wanted to let all of you know that you do not have to buy leads and products and training programs to be successful with your business. How much money are you spending a month on buying leads for your business? How qualified are those leads?
